Here are some links to the sites of individuals or organizations who are
great contributors to the open courseware initiative.
- Creative Commons - If you are creative, want to share your content
freely with others, and want to retain some of the rights to your creativity,
check this site out. The creative licensing is an alternative to
straight out copyright for intellectual property.
- Curt Bonk - Dr. Curt Bonk, Indiana University, is a pioneer in the
open courseware movement, is an excellent speaker and presenter, and has some
great links on his various websites.
- The Center for Open and Sustainable Learning at Utah State University
- Want to formally participate in the open courseware movement? Utah
State has grant money available for institutions that want to get their
courses online and freely shared. The model is
MIT and your institution can
follow the same model at little or no cost. Check it out.
